About Our Firm

Frazier Associates Staff   The 18-person staff of Frazier Associates offers a wide array of design services; we invite you to read our staff profiles.
Frazier Associates was founded in 1986 by Kathy and Bill Frazier. As strong advocates for the potential of Virginia's unique downtowns, Kathy (an architect) and Bill (a planner) decided to concentrate the firm on revitalizing historic communities. While the historic preservation aspect of community revitalization work was the initial focus of the firm, that evolved as clients became more attuned to the economic potential of placemaking and enhancement of architectural character on a broader level. Frazier Associates has developed a diverse portfolio although downtown revitalization, historic preservation, and urban infill projects continue to be hallmarks of our firm's body of work. Since its inception, Frazier Associates has designed more than 2,000 projects located throughout the mid-Atlantic area and has been honored with more than 50 design awards.
