Cultural Landscape Studies
The human imprint on the physical environment of the Shenandoah Valley as recorded by writers and artists over the past 200 years suggests a favorable balance of the natural and man made. Change continues to occur, and development pressures are having a measurable impact on the Shenandoah Valley. When engaged in new site planning efforts, we use a site's cultural landscape as a basis for contemporary development. It is our goal to visually complement the natural and cultural character of the existing landscape.
