Tourism is playing an increasingly important role in many older communities and providing distinctive and attractive public sign systems is a vital component in any program. We combine our experience in urban design, community planning, architecture, and graphic design to assist cities and towns in this process. Regional Wayfinding
As a region heavily invested in tourism, Virginia's Historic Triangle recognized the opportunity to dramatically improve the visitor experience by better welcoming, guiding, and cross-selling regional attractions. Each year, approximately four million visitors travel by car to and within the Greater Williamsburg area. However, poorly marked routes, sign clutter, and a lack of a cohesive sign strategy under serve this important visitor market. Frazier Associates was hired by a group representing multiple jurisdictions to improve signage on a regional level; this inter-municipal focus on a coordinated signage strategy is unprecedented in the State of Virginia.
